Sundays
We offer Sunday School classes every Sunday morning at 9:15am for children of all ages.  These classes aim to instill a foundational understanding of Jesus and the Gospel through Bible stories and fun activities.

Four and 5 year olds meet on the first floor of the Education building. Classes for 1st through 3rd graders and 4th through 5th graders meet on the second floor.

Children 3 years old and younger will enjoy time learning in our preschool and nursery department.

Wednesdays
Every Wednesday night begins with a church-wide meal.  Our children then meet in the Family Life Center for our First Kids ministry at 6:30 p.m.  First Kids is a time of worship, Bible study and games specifically designed to teach exciting biblical truths to kids K-5th grade.

Sundays
Students 6th through 12th grade meet for a Bible study each Sunday morning in the Student Ministry  Room at 9:15am located in the basement of the Education building.

Our youth leadership is passionate about challenging students to apply God's Word to every aspect of their lives.
 
Wednesdays
Every Wednesday night begins with a church-wide meal at 6:00 p.m. Our students then meet in the Student Ministry Room for our First Students ministry at 6:30 p.m.  First Students is a time of worship, Bible study and fellowship for all students grades 6-12th. 

Sundays
With multiple groups meeting at 9:15 am, there are options for every adult in each stage of life:
     -Young Adults (18-30) led by Adam and Megan ONeal- second floor of the Family Life Center
     -Women's group led by Angie Price- second floor of the Education Building
     -Adult 1 (medium age) led by Gabe Saxon- second floor of the Education Building
     -Adult 2 (50's and 60's) led by Larry McClendon- first floor of the Education Building
     -Senior Adults led by Sherry Moore- first floor of the Education Building
    -James Club Recovery Group (all ages) led by Justin Nunnery - Dining Room of the Family Life Center

These groups are built to complement and expand upon our corporate Sunday morning worship.  Each class provides a time of intentional fellowship and prayer.  We believe this lays the foundation for building a supportive and loving family in Christ.

Wednesdays
Pastor Steve Moore leads the First Adults group on Wednesday nights. This is for adults of all ages and meets in the Worship Center at 6:30 pm.  This group combines Bible Study, prayer and outreach opportunities.

Choir/Worship Team
Our adult choir and worship team leads Sunday morning worship and performs musicals during special services throughout the year.  They meet on Sundays at 4:00 p.m.

The Worship Ministry of First Baptist Marianna exists to glorify God and to lead His people in worshiping Him in spirit and truth.  Whether it is through our choir ministry or in a Sunday morning worship gathering, we understand that God has called us to sing His praises (Psalm 30:4) and to declare the excellencies of Christ (I Peter 2:9).  We are always looking for new members for our worship team.  If you have an interest in being a part of the worship ministry as an instrumentalist, singer, or a member of the audio/visual team, please reach out to Pastor Steve Moore.

There are many ways that First Baptist Marianna seeks to fulfills its mission to Love and Engage.  Each  year, the church is involved in reaching out to the community through outreach events such as Community Block Parties, Fall Festivals, Upward Basketball, Men's Wild Game Dinners and Vacation Bible School.  While those events take place on the church campus, there are many other events that seek to reach people throughout the community and around the world.  Mission trips, both domestic and foreign, local festivals, teacher appreciation events, community music concerts and ministries to local prisons are are apart of the outreach of First Baptist Marianna.

We're excited to share that nationally recognized Christ-centered recovery ministry, Celebrate Recovery,  will be coming to First Baptist Marianna!
